Nonsense Poetry

As I was going out one day
My head fell off and rolled away
When I saw that it was gone
I picked it up and put it on

As I was walking down the street
A fellow yelled - 'Look at your feet'
I looked at them, and sadly said
'I've left them both asleep in bed'

One fine day in the middle of the night
Two dead men got up to fight
A blind man saw it, A deaf man heard it
A man with no legs went to get the fire engine.
The fire engine was drawn by 6 white horses
Who ran over a dead cat and half killed it.
This story was told by an old man,
Sitting at the corner of a round table
Drinking vinegar, through a fork.

A daisy and a buttercup,
Agreed to have a race
A squirrel was to be the judge
A mile from the place.

The squirrel waited patiently
Until the day was done
Perhaps he is there waiting still
You see - they couldn't run
