| Haven't been around for a while - have been busy sorting a few legal matters - why can't buyers, solicitors and neighbours make things easy or keep things simple. So much for completion in 28 days - its been 12 weeks and still no sign of it being sorted. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a million dollar estate but its 3 poxy fields and a yard. Hopefully it will get there this side of christmas. but, then, thats my problem. Hope everyone is ok and hastle free. Hope you had fun at the auction and managed to pick up a few bargains Penny - I haven't been to one of those in donkeys years. | |

| How are they spamming - are they adding reply posts and spanning that way? Are guests able to post comments or do they have to be site members?
The only way anyone can spam on mine is via the guestbook which luckily hasn't been a problem for me, although I did have one some time back but I just deleted her guestbook comment.

| making themselves members then spamming, have now made it so anyone joining has to be approved by me, anyway, may close that down, silly to have two forums, I can link back to this one and people can put their poetry etc on a thread here, also can run the competition from here. | |

| That might save you a lot of hastle to be honest. There isn't really any benefit of having a forum on the web site and forums here. The one can be linked back to the other - the same way as I've started a separate poetry tribute journal site which on the contents page is identified as poetry, then on that page I have a link to the poetry journal from the tribute journal.
I'd run out of pages on the tribute site, and I'm too much of a scrooge to pay for a site so I could have endless space, so I started the 2nd and linked it. When I run out of space between the 2, I'll do a third and link that.

| Oh time - or the lack of it - is the master of all evil Good luck with your auction. I've got a few bits of china - dinner sets and such things, along with small items of furniture - that I need to send to auction. Its remembering to ring them when they're open, and then remembering the number or actually getting through rather than an engaged tone when I ring - thats the problem I'm getting. I've got too many things going on at the moment as distractions and can't concentrate properly on getting that project sorted. OMG - just seen the new 'compare.com' advert. Bring back the meerkats - please. LOL | |

| I get days like that when all I seem to do is sit in front of the keyboard chatting, answering emails, pm messages, help forums, twitter and everything else, and before I turn around - the day has gone and I've acheived nothing useful to me. I seem to be having lots of those days at the moment as the pc is by the phone and I seem to be always waiting for someone to 'ring me back' - which doesn't always happen | |

| We had the same when Rays daughter lived with us - at the time the computer was down the basement. The bit that annyed me with her at the time was that we were on dial up and had a phone by the computer and what she ewa doing was playing games on the computer and running up the phone bill. Needless to say, when I found out about it and removed the phone (had to put it back so I could use it myself when I was sorting business) she was not a happy bunny, I was called every name under the sun by both her and Ray. My answer - tough - Until you pay the bills, my house - my rules.
Oh well, happy days.
I've had a shock too this morning - I've had the standard issue reminder for the gp on Quads and in his note he's closing the forums at the end of the gp. I know I'm not there much, but it will be a shame to loose it.

| Oh no, I enjoyed doing quiz and jigsaw and although never chatted much it was always a place to get help from quad, sleek and lisa, quad must have other things in the planning. Anyway, got my puter back till next week think she is staying again next weekend, love her to bits, lol, but can be tiring, mind you we get out more which we would not do alone, go up the road to farm and feed the shetland ponies and foals apples and carrots, and get about a bit, keep seeing cute little dogs, think I must be getting broody or something, know I cannot have one because of work never mind one day!!!!!) | |

| hopefully you'll still be able to get hold of Quad via Lisas site - cos I@m sure he'll pop in there when he is able. Glad your Saturday visit went ok. Not being very maternal, I never wanted children and - if I'm honest - I don't really like their company. But - I know for people that love children, they can be a valuable addition and can fill a house on their own. But - dogs now is a different matter - I'd happily have a house full of them. | |

| Am not actually over the moon with other peoples kids, quite liked my own when they grew up, and granddaughter has a very adult attitude most of the time, a very independant know it all little madam, reminds me of myself her and my daughter are very animal orientated people, daughter will not have any more children but they have a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, guinea pig, two rabbits,a bearded dragon, two aquariums with weird fish and frogs, and will probably be getting a pony some time in the near future. I quite like cats but hubby hates them, used to breed cockatiels but it became too time consuming and hard work, I loved them though but don't want a bird in the house, seems unfair to me to keep a species like that on its own with no similar company, but a little dog!!! oh here I go again, | |

| I'm usually logged in most days - this new internet explorer thing is good cos I can have 1 window open, and have 7 or 8 windows open on tabs from it - although, if Ray is on the computer I miss whats going on. Hope you're having a good bank holiday weekend.
I'm off now to sort some of my YDC listings. Just as well I've taken the pics - its just started raining here ............. again.
Catch you later | |
